A photograph taken in 1894 from the east end of Commercial Street looking west. It shows a portion of Main Street with the building that would later become the Boise County Courthouse opposite the Miner's Exchange, in the right hand portion of the photograph. Other buildings in this photo that still remain are the Idaho World building in the left center, the Pon Yam House in the left background, and the Masonic Temple in the center background.

This photo was taken on June 22, 2003, from as near the location from which the above photo was taken as the foliage permits. It shows the Courthouse and the Miner's Exchange on the right., the Idaho World building on the left, the Pon Yam House behind the Idaho World building, and the Masonic Temple in the center background
